Stuart Grant
Stuart Grant, owner of The Elkstone Group, is an acclaimed attorney based in Delaware. In addition to his accomplishments in the legal arena, Grant is an avid sportsman, investor, and philanthropist.
Since buying his first racehorse in 2002, Grant has earned a spot as one of the top owners and breeders of thoroughbred race horses in the United States. Grant’s horses race under the stable name The Elkstone Group. Among the graded stakes winners Grant bred are: Mor Spirit (grade 1), Lady Fog Horn (grade 2) and Edge of Reality (grade 3).
Grant owns Monomoy Girl, a five-time grade 1 winner, in partnership with Michael Dubb, Sol Kuman and Michael Caruso. Monomoy Girl, trained by Brad Cox, has consistently been named to the 2018 NTRA Top Thoroughbred Poll and triumphed in the Breeder’s Cup Distaff, The Ashland, The Kentucky Oaks, The Acorn, and The Coaching Club Oaks.
In 2004, Grant purchased the 360-acre Camden Training Center in South Carolina where many of his top thoroughbreds have trained. Breeding operations for The Elkstone Group are primarily operated out of C-Dog Farm in Chesapeake City, Maryland.
Each year Grant offers University of Delaware students the chance to apply for a paid internship at Camden Training Center through funding from Grant’s I Could Do Great Things Foundation. This 10-week opportunity provides a hands-on look at the world of thoroughbred racehorses, and Grant hopes the experience will help nurture the next generation of veterinarians and turf professionals.
Grant is a co-founder of Grant & Eisenhofer P.A., a successful law firm that has won more $100 million+ securities settlements than any other firm in the world. He retired from his leadership of Grant & Eisenhofer in September 2018 and now dedicates his time to Bench Walk Advisors, an investment advisor created and run by a unique combination of litigators and financial investment professionals.
